I just downloaded it yesterday and I haven't had a chance to watch it yet but it is getting a lot of press. Some people are calling it one of the best fan films ever made. It looks pretty amazing.

Most places are shut down or will take about 22 hours over a high speed line.

Viper: Can you post it at your site and PM me the address so you control who downloads it?

Today I have added a great Fan Film called "Join The Empire" in the Movies Section at Galactic Voyage.

Join The Empire was a fan film created in 1998 by Marco Spitoni. It is staged like a commercial to get you to join the Empire like in the old World War II ad campaigns. I noticed that this fan film had pretty much disappeared from the Internet, but it is still one of my favorites. Don't forget to stay around during the credits to see the 3D models and meshes.

Join The Empire was originally in a Bink Smacker format, but I converted it to a more widely used file type. This film is a true testament to Marco's creativity because you will notice the CG has stood the test of time. That is a hard thing to do these days and in terms of computer graphics, 1998 was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

I just watched the "Join the Empire" video and I thought it was very well done. The animation was suburb for its time and it was a very clever concept. Nice find Jedi Power. :D

I really enjoyed "Join The Empire" very well done. Getting back to the
"Revelations" movie, I have it on DVD, it's a cool concept and the ending meshed well with Episode four and the final extinction of the jedi.

I haven't put that one out on Galactic Voyage yet because it would surely be a bandwidth hog.

What are you all playing it with? My computer won't play with Windows Media or Quicktime.

Thanks.

You need to have the free Divx codec loaded on your computer. You can find it at http://www.divx.com/.
