"Blue Harvest" (Star Wars episode of "Family Guy")

Post by Wildstar » Mon Sep 24, 2007 5:03 pm

Was wondering who else saw this. I had a lot of chuckles during the show, with my favorite being the sight gag of the "Asteroids" video game after the Han Solo character (not familiar w/ the Family Guy characters, so bear with me) said, "We've jumped into an asteroid field!" Really brought back memories.

I saw it. I am not a Family Guy watcher, but I thought it was pretty good.

Does anyone want any intergalactic proton powered electrical tentical advertising droids? Hehe :D I thought it was a great episode. They really took a close look at the films and made some great jokes.

That was one of the best things I've ever seen. I loved the X-Wing pilots (Redd Fox standing by) and the Robot Chicken discussion at the end of the episode between Peter (Seth McFarlane [sp?], the creator of Family Guy) and Chris (Seth Green, the creator of Robot Chicken). Classic stuff. I was also amazed by how good the animation was with the ships and explosions.

I watched it as I love Family Guy as it is, and I gotta say I loved it. I liked the opening scroll. :D

As for the animation, it seemed that at certain spots they may have just traced over actual movie footage to replicate the shots exactly, but I may be mistaken.

I agree Jedi Master. Some of the animations were dead on to the films so they are either really good or did some sort of trace.

They had a splash on the MySpace front page this morning that "Blue Harvest" is either now available or will soon be available on DVD.

I saw the Commercial for it, but I am not allowed to watch family guy, personaly I think it is a bit "odd" to say the least, and a bit distrubing some times..... But it looked "ok" to me :?

There is a commercial version of this episode available to buy if anyone wants to. I saw it at Borders and this means you can buy it at Amazon.
