This sounds very cool. Just informationally, I saw the 30th anniversary toys at Target just today. They look a bit better made then the ones that came out for the last movie. They look like they have better details.

I am looking for the Mace Windu one. I found the Obi Wan and the R2-D2.

You're creeping me out with that signature line...

(it's changed but used to say "Dead Men Tell No Tales..." and reminds me of the first audio in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at the Magic Kingdom...)

Ah yes, but, if there are no survivors left, how do we find out about the dastardly deeds of pirates and the like?

Question for anyone out there who is a specialist in collecting. Does anyone know if the Post Office is issuing any of those R2 Post boxes as a souvenir or something to buy? Also, for the upcoming 30th toys does anyone know where to get them besides ebay? I saw a few at Target but I am looking particularly for the Mace one. Any clues?

Thanks.

I can confirm that the Post Office and their employees are not allowed to let the R2 mailboxes go - they are property of the US Government and USPS. Not every PO gets them either. Finally, lots of Postal employees are pissed off that instead of paying for that promotion, they should get a raise LOL.

You'll have to be a little patient with the 30th Anniversary figs. My area's generally been prolific with new figures but I still haven't seen any yet and those were released when - in January?

I figured that I would join the Alltroops party!

As for the 30th Ann. figures, in my area K-Mart got them first, and they regularly ship to Target, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart, and sell out just as fast.

I was actually looking for a small replica mailbox of R2. I don't want a realsize one. However, if they don't sell them they don't.

My Target has had the 30th toy but only 2 kinds. R2 and Obi Wan. I was looking for Mace. As he is not as popular I was hoping to find him. Perhaps I will check out another Target. Thanks for the notice Solo, since I thought it might have just been by accident that mine got them. Not a lot of collectors around here.

This isn't a SW party if I'm not here.

As far as I know, there will no replica mail boxes. I think the only thing collectors get are stamps. The only person who has one right now for their collection is Steve Sansweet. (Trust me, he really does have one).

As for TAC figures here in AZ, I have already found wave 2. Kmart got wave 1 before any other store and now wave 2 is hitting Targets first. I haven't seen any new vehicles yet though (V-Wing, Sith Infiltrator).

Patience is key here. This is the start of a transition to a new line, which usually means a slow trickle on to the pegs until last years stuff is gone. Soon TAC figures will be everywhere.

Thanks for the info. I did go to a different Target and found one Mace Windu to add to my collection.

You are right indeed about old supplies needing to be gotten rid of before new ones coming in. There are very few on the shelves.

Does anyone know if they will be adding to that series? On the back of the packaging it says they will be but no other figures are listed that I can find.

The 30th Anniversary line will run throughout the year. I believe they have 60-70 figures with unique coins planned. There's also going to be a few waves of Saga Legends figures which will consist of repacks. The Legends figures will only have 6 different coins though, one for each movie. So far Hasbro has officially released the names of the first 30 figures that will have coins, but more will be coming.

Hasbro is also running another Ultimate Galactic Hunt this year (not sure if it will be called that again, but it's the same concept). Like last year with the silver "hologram" figurines, this year the UGH figures will include gold coins.

If you want to see a list of the toys in the 30th Anniversary Colleciton that are out, or are confirmed to be coming out soon, including the first 30 basic figures with coins check out the product guide at alltroops: http://www.alltroops.com/guides.asp?mod ... Collection

Oh great .... just what I need .... another Galactic Hunt .... it's bad enough that they are making 60 new figs ..... I'm buying two of everything this year (one to keep carded, and one opener to fill up the coin album) plus the darned repacks (one carded of everything [I'm gonna need a bigger house!]) .... now I'll have to hunt on e-bay for the gold coins because you know the scalpers will be getting those b4 they even make the shelves .... just like last year

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm still looking for 2 of the silver "hologram" figurines from last year's UGH. And I know Hasbro will piss me off by giving gold coins to the figures I won't want 2 or more of.
