Star Tours Closing at Disney World

It looks like your last chance to ride Star Tours as it exists today is August 14 during Celebration V in Orlando. They are going to be updating the ride with a whole new 3D experience and new simulator technology.

Do you know when they will reopen it? I was planning a trip to Disney World and this may affect those plans.

The new Star Tours won't open until 2011, but you know how these things go. I would not plan to see it until 2012.

I think it will be a while before the new one opens. This is going to be a major refit of the ride. Don't expect it before 2011.

Well it does give me time to save up and plan my trip so that is ok. I bet the ride will be super fun then, with all the new additions. I know Star Tours is always a must see when I have gone to Disneyland in California.
