Holiday Gift

Post by viper2843 » Mon Dec 24, 2007 10:49 pm

Surprise!

As a special treat, I have updated the boards to phpBB 3 a bit ahead of schedule. I had the time and felt in the giving mood! :D Let me know if you have any problems.

Moderators: I know your permissions are gone right now, I will fix them as soon as I can. Edit: Fixed.

Looking pretty good, though I see the board will have to be reskinned and the spoiler mod added back in. Oh, and Merry Xmas while I'm at it. :D

Merry Christmas! Looks quite different. Love the "On-Line" tag. Thanks Viper!

It looks like it will be quite a good upgrade. Looking forward to seeing the final skins and all. So far so good.

Now that the new software is up and running, I can begin the work of creating a new theme based on some work Craig and I did a long time ago. It should be pretty nice when it is all done. And yes Wildstar, I do have to get the Spoiler mod working again. That is also going to be finished when the new theme is complete. I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday and the new board software. :D

Viper,

Just an FYI, I use the code at the bottom of my index page to display the latest topics. Just let me know what I will need to do to re-activate that feature. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no replacement for that mod as of right now. I am looking into writing it myself. I will keep you updated.

Great work, Viper! Do you have the Star Wars smilies package location known?

I'm not sure I understand the question. The Star Wars emoticon pack I use here is installed and running on the new software. If you want the emoticon package for a site of yours, I can get it to you. If you want it, send me a PM and we will work something out. I should say that I did not make the emoticons (the original links are in a old thread in this forum somewhere). :D

You answered my question :luke: I'll send you that PM and we'll work it out.

By the way, for some reason I typed inverted, so it's my fault.

The new format of everything in phpbb 3 looks good, but I can't wait to get the SW Forums theme back!

It sucked not getting that "I'm home" feeling when I just clicked my bookmark! Keep up the great work though Viper! I'm sure you'll have it back up in no time! :D
