Re: Y-Wing, what is its real size?

Will definately post the pics of the finished Y-wing when its built, and the Millenium Falcon too.Should be able to complete both sooner than hoped now as I have managed to cut my hours down at work. Oh, forgot to say last time, I hop...

Re: Y-Wing, what is its real size?

Cheers dude. I posted the same question on starwars.com forums and one possible explanation given was that the original B (bomber) version from the clone wars era was much bigger because it was a bomber primarily. The later A4 and S4 versions were primarily fighter craft and so were smaller and more...

Y-Wing, what is its real size?

On Starwars.com they list 3 variants of the Y-Wing as follows: Y-Wing BTL-B (bomber) ~ The original Y-Wing which was used during the clone wars.It is fully faired (armour plating) and is listed as being 23.4 metres in length. It seated 1 pilot & 1 gunner who sat in a 360 degree rotating bubble turret...

Re: Millenium Falcons mandibles....

hmmm, interesting idea.

If I built it ready for both purposes, if at any point the true function was revealed, I would have both options covered!

Thanks!

Re: Millenium Falcons mandibles....

Yeah I did a little more research on the subject after this post, and came to the same conclusion as you Jedi Power. As far as building the millenium falcon, I want to include as many working parts as possible, so the personel ramp, weapons, escape pods, all that stuff will be functional, using lego...

Millenium Falcons mandibles....

Hey SW gang, hope everyone is cool. So the question I have is this... Does anyone know how the Millenium Falcons mandibles work? How exactly does it load cargo into the front of the ship? I have googled this and cant find anywhere where this info is listed. To my knowledge, there are no scenes in the...

Re: Cannonising

Well, at the moment, the only thing really stopping me from building it is room! I need a spare room or maybe garage to build it in & I dont have either at the moment lol.My plan is to start building the landing gear/feet which will be the size of a tennis ball each. As you are a fan of ships, this ...

Re: Cannonising

That would be awesome, cheers m8! I mean, I suppose its not hugely important in some respects.I will enjoy designing, building, & showing the set off to star wars fans etc, but I guess I would like it to be officially recognised too. To be cannonised I guess I will have to look into which period it ...

Greetings all!

Hi everyone, My name is Dan, I am 28, and live near London. I have always been a fan of star wars but only became a huge fan recently after buying many of the Star Wars Lego collectors sets, which are really quite incredible. The largest of these is the Corelian YT-1300t (Millenium Falcon) , which I...

Cannonising a lego ship design

Hi guys, Not sure where to post this or even if anyone would know the answer. I have designed a space craft which I am planning to build out of lego.It is a large cargo vessel, which would fall into the "heavy" category in the star wars universe. When built it will be about 7ft long, by 4 ft wide - w...
